3 1/2 cups of quick oats
2/3 cup of melted butter
1/3 cup of peanut butter
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of white syrup or honey
1 egg  (beaten)
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of salt
add 2-4 cups of options
raisins, nuts, chocolate or carob chips, coconut,
sunflower seeds, dried fruit, sesame seeds, wheat germ.
We love to try new variety's...
We love craisins, choc chips, s-seeds & a few white chips together!
Mix all ingredients well.

Press firmly into a well greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 pan.
( I use wax paper over bars and roll
rolling pin over it to press them down firmly.)

Bake at 350 for 10-15 min.
Watch not to over brown!
We have also added some of this dry cereal,
as it was free on a coupon-you know!
Was very good!
And cut while still slightly warm!

We love to keep these on hand for a 'healthy' snack.
We also make up several batches of them for going away, camping etc!
They' re great for a quick & light breakfast with some yogurt.
